A Live-Green Chocolate Tea? Yep! This is warm raw cacao blended with fresh spinach and grapes to make a comforting but perky refresher. It doesn’t have the rich creaminess of this Live Green Hot Chocolate; instead it’s light and refreshing, with the wonderful dark-cacao pick-you-up flavor of chocolate.
Blend it in your blender, like you do all your green smoothies, then serve it warm like you would your favorite tea.
The twenty-something young men in my home drank it up, so it’s not nearly as exotic as it sounds.

This extremely creamy, delicious warm cacao drink isn’t made with any kind of milk (whether from dairy, almond, or hemp seeds) and is made with fresh baby spinach and avocado.
This hot cocoa happens to also be a Live Green Smoothie chock FULL of antioxidants and magnesium (which you believe it’s the chocolate that actually trumps the greens on both these accounts?)
It is *excellent*… proof being it was absconded with in its entirety by the three Marginally Raw young men (my sons and their friend) who set down their beers to proclaim it “freakin’ great”, drinking it down to its last drop.
I’m telling ya, if you’ve never tried raw cacao with fresh greens and avocado, you’re in for a big surprise!
What a great — and tasty — way to relax.

Lately, I’ve been drinking my Live Green Smoothies warm. It’s been soothing, comforting, and energizing, and an excellent beverage in the evenings.
This tea, warm but still “raw” (not cooked) and very much “living”, makes an excellent nightcap.
The color of a nice juicy shiraz or cabernet, this Blueberry-Grape Warm Live Tea has the kind of berry-sweet, grapey flavor that makes an evening glass of red wine so satisfying.
It may revolutionize the options that you turn to when you want to just kick back.

Growing up in Minnesota in the 70s, I was a hard-core Girl Scout, complete with uniform, camping, badges… the whole nine yards. And one of the staple recipes that Girl Scout moms of that era new how to make was something called “Russian Tea”, a blend of Tang with instant Iced Tea mix and sweet spices like cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. I have no idea if anyone in Russia actually drinks spiced orange tea, but it was certainly verrry warming, fragrant and delicious, especially by the campfire.
These days, I wouldn’t go anywhere near Tang or an instant tea mix, but I can make a Warm Live Tea that’s even better. And it’s a green smoothie to boot… full of chlorophyll, viable enzymes, vitamins A, C, and E and all kinds of other good stuff that make for a healthy, energetic, youthful body.
If the idea of enjoying your Live Green Smoothies warm is new to you… stick around. There are many more to come. And they are wonderful.

I can pretty much guarantee most of you have never tried something like this before (I never did)… A sweet, lemony Live Green Smoothie served warm, like soup or tea. It’ so comforting, soothing, and warming… and exactly the sort of thing your body needs when it’s battling a cold or flu or allergies. I tend not to want Live Green Smoothies during those times because I crave warm beverages then.
Well, now I know what to make.
This tea may be green and blended like a smoothie, but it goes down with the mellow comfort of chicken soup.
Cilantro juice has been known to be a potent detoxifier of heavy metals in the body. Here, the cilantro is blended (into a whole-food juice, if you have a high-powered blender like my Blendtec). Paired withe alkalizing, liver-cleansing power of fresh lemon juice, the sweetness from fresh grapes, and a wee bit of raw honey to round out the sweetness, and it’s revitalizing energy in a cup!

I’m a bit puzzled as to what to call this drink. I mean, it’s creamy like hot cocoa, but warming and with the zesty heat of a nightcap. And it’s made like a Warm Live Tea… Well, it’s utterly wonderful for any of those purposes.
And in fact, it’s absolutely delicious without being heated up. I wanted to guzzle the entire blenderful.
But alas, I was relegated to only a few sips. (The Marginally Raw Twenty-Somethings in the house all drank the rest of it down. )
Though this is all “raw” and non-dairy, there is no almond milk or hemp seeds or cashews added to give the creamy texture. It’s pure avocado and fresh lemon juice, with honey to off-set the wonderful tang.
A real winner. Next snow storm, make sure you have the right ingredients on hand for this one!
