Thursday’s Live Green Smoothie 85% Challenge Results
Posted by: Angela Leeds In: *Live Green Smoothie 85% Challenge

Today was a picture-perfect 85% day. This is what it looks like on the average 85% day.
What I Ate
The raw stuff:
- Breakfast was Avocado with Salted Honey-Vanilla Glaze. What a great start.
- One LGS (Live Green Smoothie) comprised of watermelon-strawberry-spinach.
- One LGS comprised of canteloupe-strawberry-spinach, which I brought to the gym in two water bottles and drank during my workout.
- Dinner was Mushroom Au Poivre Wraps (no tortilla chips or anything else non-raw with it).
- In the evening: two teaspoons of extremely high-quality raw organic honey, and
- Another LGS around 8:00 pm, made of 1 banana-1 pear-fresh spinach.
The non-raw stuff:
- Long espresso with honey and Mexican vanilla… which it didn’t occur to me to make until nearly 1:00 pm. If this pattern follows what has happened in the past, within a week it will be 5:00 or so before I think to make a coffee, and I’ll eventually start to freakishly enjoy a roasted dandelion beverage over my beloved espresso.
- For lunch: a sardine sandwich on multi-grain flax seed flatbread, with fresh tomato, red onion, and cold-pressed olive oil. My prefrence on sardines: “Season” brand, from Morocco… the “skinless, boneless, saltless, in water” variety.
- Afternoon treat (sans the doppio macchiato I usually enjoy in the afternoon): three small cookies from Starbucks (2 peanut butter and 1 chocolate).
Add a wee glass of red wine in the evening and, in my opinion, this was an excellent, manageable day of eating. I’m hungry before bed and wish I had my favorite superfoods and other staples to make that third LGS more rich and dense. But it’s all manageable. And I feel great.
Cost
Made another trip to Publix. I’ve now got a 2nd receipt I have to sort through to add up the raw things. Not happening tonight, but I will pull that together and track it here.
Exercise
I did a full 90 minutes and over 5-1/2 miles on the treadmill at the gym, very high-energy, with interval training, stretching, all kinds of exercises to open my hips & lengthen the connective tissue along my inner knees, isolations… I jammed a lot into that hour and a half! And I have never done 5-1/2 miles on a treadmill. I normally find it boring after 1/2 an hour. But I had SOoooo much energy to spare!!! It was great!
Afterwards, my body has felt like it’s recovering more easily than it has in recent times. The muscles and joints in my body feel “juicier”… “sproingier”. The LGS magic is working…
Special Comments
I’m ready to go to bed early and let all this rawness work it’s magic. It’s been a great day. And I can feel the rawness improving my general sense of well-being & my mood! Can’t complain about that!
