Friday’s Live Green Smoothie 85% Challenge Results – Day 7
Posted by: Angela Leeds In: *Live Green Smoothie 85% Challenge

Today was Day 7, and it was great. Another 85%-ish day, even with going out to lunch at a restaurant, and with another 1-1/2 hours doing interval training on the treadmill, plenty of energy, feeling great… and didn’t even feel like making dinner because I’d had enough food, thankyouverymuch. An LGS was all I wanted.
I can feel my energy has really shifted from the inside out. Looking forward to more physical evidence of it showing up on the outside.
What I Ate
The Raw Stuff:
- 2 bananas sliced & sprinkled with cinnamon, for brekkies. Bit of raw honey.
- 3 LGSs (96+ oz. worth) of mixed Herb & Baby Romaine green with one whole “Athena” canteloupe and 2 bananas.
- A chopped salad at lunch of romaine, red pepper, and jicama. This was a kick-ass salad at a “contemporary Mexican” restaurant I never heard of before — “Sinigual” — here in the Tampa area, and it was wildly delicious, totally inspiring, and so fresh, crispy & refreshing. I wish more restaurants were into the “chopped salad” concept rather than just the “baby leaf lettuce/mixed greens” concept. Chopped salads are such a fave of mine, and this one knocked my socks off. See the Non-Raw Stuff list for what else was in it, but it was a very light, very high-raw selection.
The Non-Raw Stuff:
- Two small pieces of Greek sweet bread, toasted (onto which I spread the raw honey).
- A wee bit of fire-grilled chicken, corn, black beans, queso fresco, and a light toasted tosdada wafer, as part of my lunch salad at Sinigual. (Did I say how amazing that salad was???) Also some of the best fresh-made chipotle salsa I’ve ever had on a soft tortilla. And there was an excellent BBQ sauce and some kind of
- Long espresso with vanilla and Mexican vanilla… which I didn’t get to til nearly 5:00pm, before I headed to the gym. Impressive. I did enjoy it, though… most likely because of the cooked elements I’d had at lunch. I have definitely found a direct correlation between eating cooked food and the appeal of coffee.
Cost
Nothing new.
Exercise
1-1/2 hours on the treadmill, over 5-1/2 miles, same as yesterday.
Special Comments
Just feelin’ great! And wrapping up a week where every day has been in the vicinity of 85-95%, with lots of emphasis on straight-up grocery produce rather than many of the superfoods that I usually rely on for fullness and convenience.
No raw cacao, no hemp seeds, no coconut oil, no Ezekiel bread (that’s a big deal for me)… it’s been an interesting first week even just for the reason that my diet has not included any of these things.
Looking forward to Week 2!
