A Tropically Exotic Warm Live Tea: Watermelon-Papaya With Orange Blossom Water
Posted by: Angela Leeds In: *LGS Daily Recipe|Drinks

My son Curran’s comment while tucking into a second cup of this tea with a friend: “How many pink drinks do you know that are healthy for you? …Pepto Bismol does not count!”
These new Warm Live Teas that I’m making are a big hit at home, and this one is just fabulous! Gorgeously colorful, and so aromatic and soothing.
It’s tummy-warming, the kind of drink that makes for an enjoyable nightcap when you want that warm sensation of a “hug”… and yet it’s all fresh fruit and full of living enzymes and rich in nutrients.
Great way to start the day. Great way to end the day.

Recipe for: Watermelon-Papaya Warm Live Tea, With Orange Blossom Water
(To measure the fruit, I just scoop the flesh out with a spoon into the measuring cups. Don’t leave out the salt… it perks up the beverage; it tastes much “flatter” without it.)
- 1 heaping cup watermelon pieces
- 1 cup papaya pieces
- 2 cups spring water
- 1/4 teaspoon orange blossom water
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Then add to saucepan and warm up briefly until the liquid is very warm… but still comfortable to your bare skin. Pour into mug and enjoy.
