Naturally High-Protein “Broccoli-Grape” Live Green Smoothie

Did you know that, calorie-for-calorie, broccoli has a bit more protein than steak? Yep. And one of the nice qualities that high-protein foods (such as goji berries, hemp seeds, and… broccoli) contribute to smoothies is that they make them unexpectedly slight creamy.
In addition, broccoli is famed for its cancer-fighting power, and by adding it to your smoothie without cooking it, you get to keep that potency intact; apparently cooking broccoli destroys over 90% of the anti-cancer compound sulforaphane.
So with this extremely simple smoothie, you get its famed cancer-fighting power, a chlorophyll-rich high-protein creaminess, and a great way to use a common vegetable that resists spoilage (certainly lasts longer in your fridge than greens…) and also tends toward the inexpensive.
It’s a great basic recipe to add to your regular routine of LGS… Play with it and add whatever other fruits you have on hand!
