Thanksgiving Dinner “Cranberry Cocktail” – A Spirited, No-Booze Refreshment For The Whole Family
Posted by: Angela Leeds In: *LGS Daily Recipe|Angela's Favorite Recipes|Drinks

This is a gorgeously festive holiday cocktail… with no alcohol in it, so the entire family can enjoy it!
If your Thanksgiving dinner tends to be laden with heavy foods, this beverage is guaranteed to keep you awake and help with digestion. It is *intense* and just sparkling with flavor! But you can also make a milder version for those with gentler palates and inclinations… A table with two pitchers of this lovely cocktail, one mild version and one more intense, would be exquisite!
Happy Holidays, everyone! Wishing everyone the most heart-felt holiday season ever…

Recipe for: Thanksgiving Dinner “Cranberry Cocktail”
A Spirited, No-Booze Refreshment For The Whole Family
If you prefer this cocktail to be less lemony, start with 1 lemon and 4 apples. My preference is extremely lemony, even when this is not off-setting a heavy meal, so I used 2 lemons with 6 apples. But you may like a milder effect. You might also consider making two batches — one mild and one strong.
Each batch will serve approximately four servings. Use lovely glass pitchers if you can — this cocktail is gorgeously festive!
- 12 oz bag or container of fresh cranberries
- 1-2 organic lemons
- 4-6 golden Delicious apples (or other sweet apple)
Juice the cranberries first, then the lemons (make sure you juice them whole, including the peel – which is why it’s extremely important these be organic), and the apples last of all. Stir the juice to combine.
The juice will naturally have a beautiful orange foamy layer on the surface. You can keep this layer, or skim it off so that the cocktail will be uniformly red.
Add ice cubes to chill, then pour into pretty glasses. You can even leave the ice cubs in the drink, if you like, in order to dilute the intensity a little bit.
Enjoy with much heart-felt gratitude. Happy Holidays!
