The “Hey, Drink Your Broccoli!” Live Green Smoothie – For Kids, Green Smoothie Newbs…
… and anyone who loves yummy drinks and feeling great!
I saw an article in today’s USA Today about how kids just aren’t getting enough fruit and vegetables in their diets. Well… duh… we all know that. And we also know it’s not just the kids!
I created this smoothie for all those kids who don’t get enough fruit & vedge… for the parents who love them… and the adults they’ve grown up to be. :D
This smoothie is sweet, delicious, creamy… and you’d never know there are two full cups of raw broccoli in it.
Moms everywhere… rejoice!
Recipe for: The “Hey, Drink Your Broccoli!” Live Green Smoothie
Especially for Kids & Green Smoothie Newbs…
- flesh from 2 mangoes
- 1 heaping cup red grapes
- 2 cups broccoli pieces (don’t use too much of the stalk, and peel the stalk you do use)
- juice from 1 lime
- spring water to 32 oz.
- 1 cup ice (or more)
Blend all ingredients until smooth and drink it all up! Goes down sooooo easily. Best served cold. [/private]
