Chopped Collard-Green Salad with Sliced Pear and Citrus (a Light, Delicate Crowd-Pleaser)
Posted by: Angela Leeds In: *LGS Daily Recipe|Appetizers, Salads & Side Dishes|Great Raw Pot Luck Recipes

This salad is a great way to enjoy fresh collard greens — it’s light, refreshing, looks pretty on the table… and is delicate enough so that even those who don’t really care much for salad can enjoy it. Because, let’s face it… not everyone is crazy about their live greens!
Make it for your next raw pot luck dinner, or if you’re trying to jack up the raw for a meat-eater in your home, make it to go with your next grilled meal! It’s a good recipe to have in your repertoire.
Don’t have pears? Make it with fresh peaches or nectarines. Don’t have those? Then throw in some apples, or fresh grapes instead! It’s a versatile basis you can play with. Will do great with raw pecans or pistachios added in as well!
