These slices of pink-stained pears wrapped in luscious honey-and-rose-flavored strawberries taste (and look) like love in a bowl!
Great as a breakfast by yourself and an utterly beautiful addition to any table when you’re entertaining (goes equally well with brunch, dinner, and Sunday supper), this lovely combination is a feast for the eyes and seems especially appropriate for any romantic occasion.
For me, every day’s a good day for romance. So it’s a good thing this recipe is so easy!
It’s a favorite on my breakfast table whenever the fruit is in season.

Recipe for Crisp Pears with Rose Water and Strawberries
- 1 crisp pear (soft pears with spots on them will be delicious in the dish, but their edges will deteriorate and won’t be as pretty)
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (or other natural, unprocessed sweetener)
- 1/4 teaspoon rose water
- dash quality natural salt (brings out the sweetness…)
Slice the pear into thinnish lengths. Chop the strawberries finely and combine well with the honey and rose water. Toss the strawberries with the pears and arrange in bowl or on plate. This is such a pretty dish, you could just pile on a plate and go, and it’s still going to look spectacular without any fiddling whatsoever!
I like to use the slices of pear like tortilla chips to scoop up the strawberry! YUM…
